That’s a great question! Here’s the scoop.
Most domestic carpet cleaning machines(ie: Bissell, Hoover, Rug Doctor, etc) only remove soil from the top of the fibre. In order to get the soil out from the bottom of the fibre, you must satruate the fibre all the way to the bottom. Usually the carpet gets so wet (insufficient vacuum lift) that the backing and underlay gets soaked and causes extended drying times. This causes bacterial and mold growth. Once the carpet backing has been soaking and allowed to remain wet (sometimes for days), the primary and secondary backing will delaminate, leaving the carpet permanently damaged.
Our truck mounted (diesel engine powered) unit injects water right down to the bottom of the fibre and is able to ‘suck’ it up just as fast as the water is injected. Add water tempuratures around 250 degrees fahrenheit, 400 PSI water pressure and you get an unparallelled hot water extraction that no home or rental unit can touch. This is how we get super fast dry times.
Also all this can be achieved without using toxic petroleum based detergents, which can leave a sticky residue. Our pre-spray cleaning products are Green Seal certified and contain ‘safe for consumption’ ingredients. No fumes, no toxins, no residue and most of all no smelly, moldy, over-wet and potentially damaged carpets.
